1. Executive Summary

Thailand is a tourist destination that has complete infrastructure refer to physiology, demographic, and geography. This report examines the current main issue that tourism impact on Thailand. The findings show that the main reason those interviewed tourism impact on Thailand cause by economic, socio-culture, and environment, as it makes a positive and negative impact of Thailand. In addition, the report identifies this report is based on secondary a survey of thirty persons of international students in Aspire Institute Sydney. It is limited by the small sample size. However, the research suggests that tourism mainly impacts on Thailand.

2. Introduction

 Thailand is a beautiful country located in Southeast Asia as the 12th largest in Asia. Meanwhile, there have three seasons namely wet, cool, and hot. Each region includes the north is highland tallest peak phenomenon with features. Central of Thailand is mainly an important part of history. It is a huge area of rice and agriculture. In the south are many beautiful beaches and islands. Eastern is an amazing sight and stunning locations. The west is mountainous with much woodland which is incredible of nature. Due to it is very famous as a tourist destination. There have been increasingly high levels of tourists every year as people change their destinations often. For example, aging persons travel more than leisure tourists because travel has become more complicated. However, Thailand’s government must be concerned with infrastructure more than the environment, culture, and economic situation that impacts from tourism.

3. Body/ Findings

 Thailand’s government has created various performances and activities to support as a major travel destination and to expand the current markets to cover the recess division. Because there are ongoing promotions by Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) so the numbers of tourist visitors have increased every year. In addition according to Buakhao & Weerakit, study show that “Tourism impacts have seven categories: economic, environmental, social and cultural, crowding and congestion, service, taxes, and community attitude” (2013, p. 53) Nevertheless, in this study, Directs on the three main impacts of tourism: economic, socio-cultural, and environmental impacts particular of each region.

 3.1 Tourism impacts economic in Thailand

 According to Bangkok post, research shows that Tourism is a key generator of growth and influences that tourist visits Thailand. Furthermore, Chinese callers are the top of foreign in an industry that involved situation economic because Chinese callers are top of one that tourist visitor. There are builds up about a fifth of the economy directly account for 12% of Thailand’s whole household products. Even though, Chinese visitors are resurfacing after a slowdown. (2019). However, tourism driving Thai economy, which can continuously generate high income for Thailand such as local people have a job and make good money for their family and their concern business dogmatic growth up refers to import and export.

 3.2 Tourism impacts socio-culture in Thailand

 Obviously, there is a displacement from higher tourist destinations that living in a rural nearby an urban area that appearing in changes in the demographic structure and culture shock. Besides, the negative social impact that concern about employment and education. (Khandare & Phophueksanand, 2018, p. 877). Furthermore, prostitution in Thailand this is the reasons why it is causes the negative impact of Thai culture. Alternatively, for the positive impact of tourists is government’s Thailand created an important part of the culture and support culture in Thailand for instance “Theatrical performances of ancient Muay Thai boxing matches, Thai tribal dances, and puppet shows are also popular cultural attractions of Thailand” (Sharafuddin, 2015, p. 215).

 3.3 Tourism impacts environment in Thailand

 However, tourists are the impact of the environment such as activities that tourists visit so it is a concern the pollution in Thailand refer to holiday, business, and honeymoon trip. So there is an impact environment. Nowadays, Thailand has increased of trash consists of infrastructure unable to hold up just as “Full Moon parties” in Ko Phangan that happened every year. There is leave 12 tons of trash per day after essentially goes into landfills or the ocean. (Komen, 2018, p. ara 10)

 3.4 Survey

 The findings revealed that male and female respondents were collected in a total of 30 persons. The majority of the respondents had the age of 15- over 51 years old. Include man 11 of 36.7 percentages and women 19 of 63.3 percentages. So 53.3 percentages of the respondents had travelling, 46.7 percentages of respondents had not travelling to Thailand. In terms of travelling, normally 41.4 percentages travel with their family member and friend, some 10.3 percentages couple. At least 6.9 percentages travel alone and tour group. Thus, the length of tourists 53.3 percentages stay 1 week and 26.7 percentages stay 2 weeks. More than 2 weeks only 20 percentages. In addition, the motivation of visitors travel in Thailand, the finding showed that respondents reported that the best part of Thailand that tourists visit.

 

Regions where almost 16 students traveled to Thailand

 The findings from CHART 1 revealed 5 part of the region from the perspective of respondents report visitors. Mostly 60 percentages of tourist visitors are central. Respondents of 30 percentages visit southern. Also, 23.30 percentages visit northern. At least 10 percentages and 6.7 percentages visit eastern and western. This is the reason why tourists going to Thailand because of 36.7 percentages for Thai culture and 23.3 percentages of environment. Also, 20 percentages of socio-culture and at least 20 percentages have other reasons such as shopping, holiday, all new experience.

 For this study tourism impacts in Thailand respondents report on CHART 2 almost 40 percentages of respondents are impact all above such as economic, culture, and environment.

Similarly, tourism impact economy from respondents think 63.3 percentages economy is impact in medium high and 23.3 percentages is most impact of the respondents. At least 6.7 percentages economies are low and minimal. For environment respondents finding that medium high impact 65.5 percentages and most of 13.8 percentages think it are impact most only 10.3 percentages think low and minimal.

 Moreover, for this finding this respondent think Thai culture can impact tourists life 23 of 76.7 percentages said “yes” and 7 of 23.3% percentages said “no”. Mostly 29 of 96.7 percentages would like to visit. And at least 1 of 3.3 percentages never wants to visit.

5. Conclusion

 In conclusion, this report has a tourism impact on Thailand such as economic, socio-culture, and environmental in Thailand. It has been shown that tourists had come to Thailand with a variety of reasons such as culture, holiday, food, and environment. There is an impact on Thailand. The survey supported the research by showing that respondents mainly all of tourists impact refer to economic, socio-culture and environment. For tourist impact found to have both positive and negative impact on Thailand. From these findings, it is reported that economic and environment that tourists impact are medium-high and culture is impact tourists life at the same time.
