4.6.1 Promoting Inclusive Practice in the Classroom
Welcome to chapter 6 of the 'Inclusion' module. In this final chapter, we start to think about how we can consolidate everything we've learned about inclusive practice throughout this module into our teaching practice.
Goals for this section
- To understand how theoretical understanding about inclusive practice can be put to practical uses in a real-world classroom scenario.
Objectives for this section
- To be able to explain what key concepts linked to inclusion look like in practice.
- To be able to identify appropriate strategies for various different kinds of need, and to identify opportunities for embedding key values to improve everyone's understanding of inclusion.
- To critically evaluate barriers to inclusion and be able to consider solutions where they arise which allow learners' best interests to be guarded.
