Welcome to chapter 7 of the 'Approaches to Education' module. In this chapter, we will move on to examine the ideas of Paolo Freire, who coined the term 'critical pedagogy' to define his approach to Education. His work also focused on Education as a means of freedom, hence the term 'pedagogy of the oppressed'.
